March 2010

We were getting so tired of seeing moving boxes. They pile up quickly! Luckily part of our relocation package included someone coming to take the boxes away for us. The boys loved playing with styrofoam! I didn't love the mess it made but it did keep them occupied while we unpacked and worked on projects around the house.
We took a much needed break from home improvement projects and went to the Brownsville Zoo with our friends Gilbert, Michelle and their two daughters.

Here's a random moment of Nick & Owen loving on eachother.

So, Owen really likes eating outside. We were setting the table inside and he proceeded to move his table and chairs outside all by himself. He didn't mind that he was the only one outside eating.

Here's a pic of our chameleon "Camo". He was brownish-gray when we first spotted him on the broom handle then he turned green like the palm branch. We saw him another day and he matched the dark gray pot he had been sitting on!

New House Pics... Finally!! : )

Here's our new home! We have a couple of trees in the front yard and plan to add some tropical plants as well as a palm tree. We love our street - its quiet and the park is just around the corner (literally). Here's Nick hamming it up for the camera. The previous owners had not changed anything including the carpet since they had moved in (2002). Here's what the carpet looked like before... and after...

It's a beige color and looks wonderful with all our furniture! What a difference!

We have been so busy trying to get stuff done around the house. The first thing we did was change out all of the carpet. We have changed all of the door hardware and hinges from brass to brushed nickel. We have changed all of the light fixtures to brushed nickel. The exterior lighting has been updated. Almost all of our pictures are hung up. I need to hem the curtains for the breakfast nook and guest room. We have stainless steel appliances in the kitchen now. I'll add that pic later since I need to clean off the countertop first. Its driving Tom crazy! : )

We are probably going to paint the exterior next year. So, that is all of the home stuff for now...

Let's Jump & May the Force Be With You!

We had Nick's 4th birthday party at Let's Jump. We all had a bunch of fun!

Owen didn't miss a beat. He had as much fun as everyone going down the slides and jumping in the bounce houses.

Can't believe he's 4!

Nick still says his favorite Star Wars character is Darth Vader and that's who he wants to dress up as for Halloween this year. He finally got the Darth Vader mask for his birthday!

January 2010

Owen wants to be a big boy and sit on the chair like Nick does. He climbed up all by himself! If only he was a little neater when he eats.
