Winter the Dolphin

Winter is Nick's class pet.  Everyone gets to bring her home for a weekend and write about what they did with Winter in her journal.  Nick had been looking forward to this since he found out about it the first week of school!

 

1st entry:  We went to Davis's house after school for a playdate.

It was chilly out, so Winter stayed warm in Nick's stocking hat and a blanket

3rd entry:  Winter went to a birthday party and got to jump around in the bounce house.

Our first time at Trunk or Treat was FUN!  Bounce houses, bean bag toss games, train ride and CANDY!

Tom got to throw Nick twice onto the velcro wall.  Pretty funny!

Owen enjoyed the petting zoo.  His favorite was the bunny which kept hopping away.

Red Ribbon Week

 Nothing like a helicopter landing next to your back yard!  The pilots of this DEA helicopter helped kick off Red Ribbon Week.  The entire school watched the helicopter land and got to take a peek inside!

Couldn't help taking a picture of Paisley relaxing on the lounge chair out back.  I had never seen her jump up there and as far as I know she hasn't done it since.  ; )

She is 1 today and has calmed down a little.  Atleast she's house trained and doesn't take off with our shoes anymore.

And that was all the action Owen wanted to see for the rest of the game.  We'll see how it goes next time.  He has been doing so good in practice.  Tom and I were surprised that he didn't want to play more but it was freaking hot and he had been up since 6am.   : )
