Nick's hair cut
Dad took Nick for a haircut this week, and he got to wear his new t-shirt that says "My Mom is the Bomb!". Nick did really good getting his hair cut and looks like a little man now! Thumbs up!

Owen is HERE!
Owen Thomas Church arrived at 3:12 pm on Wednesday, July 23. He is beautiful, wonderful, amazing... I could go on and on. Here is Nick meeting Owen for the first time. He held him with Daddy's help, pet him and gave him kisses. Luckily, Nick had come up to check on me while I was in labor along with Granny & Aunt Melmo. They were about to leave when the nurse checked me and said I was fully dilated. They sat in the waiting room and came in to see us about 30 minutes after Owen's was born. We were so impressed with how well Nick did at the hospital and relieved that Granny & Aunt Melmo could watch him while we were there.

Granny & my guys
Such a blessing and little angel.
Owen doesn't make much noise yet and he's a good little sleeper so far. I have to wake him up to eat.
Here we are getting ready to go home. Why does it seem to take so long to get discharged? We finally left around 4pm on Friday. Owen slept the whole way home.

I love my guys! Here they are loving on Owen and patiently waiting to take us home.

Yum, Yum. This finger will do for a second. Where's Mommy?
Our first family of four picture.
Pucker up, cutie pie!
Owen looks just like Nick did at this age.

Update: We took Owen in on Sunday for a weight and jaundice check. He was just an ounce shy of his birth weight! Then we took him back on Tuesday (6 days old) for another jaundice check and he weighed 7# 13oz. Woo Hoo!! He's a good little eater. His Bilirubin level has come down and does not require any special treatment. The same thing happened with Nick too.

7/22/08
Here's Nick with Kyra. Granny, Aunt Melmo and Kyra came to stay with us for a week so they could help with Nick while we goto the hospital to deliver Owen.
This is Nick's smile for the camera face. Such a ham!
I'm done! This pic was taken at 5:58am on 7/23/08. We are getting ready to goto the hospital for my scheduled induction (had to check in at 7:30am). Thank goodness my Dr. said we could induce. We were able to make arrangements for Nick and I get to deliver a week early. I've had another wonderful pregnancy but I'm ready to hold this little guy in my arms.
Here we are: last family of 3 picture.
When we were leaving for the hospital, Nick said "Bye Mom and Dad" like it was something we do everyday. He was content to stay at home and play with Granny, Melmo and Kyra. That was a huge relief to be able to leave and not worry about an upset little boy. Sunday, July 6, 2008
36 weeks
Here's my 36 week pic! It has been so hot! I am thankful for our pool especially since Nick likes to be outside alot. We are all looking very tan.
Go Blue!
Tom and Nick were talking about college football yesterday. Like how to spell Michigan and repeating "Go Blue".

You make me laugh! I love your outfit: pj's, sneakers, sunglasses and helmet. Not sure where you are going but it looks like you are prepared for anything.
Nick is amazing us with his vocabulary these days. He says new words all the time. He's even started calling me Amy. That started after he heard Daddy calling me by name. Its funny because he won't say Tom but he sure likes to say my name. Nick calls Owen, baby O. Its so cute! I love hearing him say please - "peas". I've got to record this stuff on video!
