The nursery is finished!

We are pretty sure that we are going to name baby #2 Owen Thomas unless we find another name we like better. Lil' Owen is due July 31st. I finally started feeling him move around 20 weeks. He's pretty active late in the afternoon and evening. At the 5 month appt. the sonogram showed he weighed 12oz. So tiny! I think he's grown a bunch in the last month though if the size of my belly is any indication. My next appt. is April 9th. We always enjoy hearing his heartbeat.

We chose paint colors that were in the crib bedding. We love how it all turned out. Its very different from Nick's room.

Nick loves hiding behind the glider, under the crib and in the closet. He cracks me up!

Easter 2008

This was Nick's 3rd Easter! I can't believe it! It was a little cool outside but that didn't slow him down. He knew just what to do with the eggs and his basket. Nick really enjoyed the candy inside the eggs. He has a sweet tooth just like his mommy.

Nick is now saying hawk (KU Jayhawk) after seeing the mascot on tv while Daddy was watching the basketball game. Grandpa Fred was glad to hear that. Some other new words are purple, blue and cheers. Seems like he's saying new words all the time. Nick also enjoys oreo cookies and ice cream cones. The last time we were at the store, he saw an endcap full of oreo's and grabbed a package off the shelf. I think I'll keep him in the cart next time. Hee Hee!

Waffles & New Sheriff in Town

Nick loves to help me in the kitchen. Here he is playing with powdered sugar while I am making waffles.
Nick's Aunt Amy sent him a sheriff pin with his name on it for his birthday. He's really starting to ham it up for the camera lately.

Peek-a-boo!

Nick did so good with his little cousin, Kyra. They are both so sweet! Nick was holding his arms out to hold her. I love how he has his arm around her.

Happy 2nd Birthday!

Nick had a great 2nd birthday! We had lots of fun with all our friends. I was impressed with how well he did with all the kids in the house especially since he hadn't taken a nap. Waiting patiently for the guests to arrive. I love that smile!
Nick loves Curious George so that was the theme for the party this year. See the smudge in the icing... Nick couldn't resist getting a taste of it even though it was in the middle of the table. We hadn't even sang Happy Birthday yet. And, I had to re-light the candles because he blew them out as soon as I lit them.

We had a few presents for him to open on his birthday too.
The big George balloon was a hit at the party.

Museum of Science & History/Natl' Cowgirl Museum

We went to the Cowgirl museum Friday afternoon with Auntie Coco, Auntie Melmo, Uncle Josh and baby Kyra. This was Nick's first time to play at the Kidspace exhibit (Science & History museum is being remodeled so they have a few exhibits at the Cowgirl museum). He had a blast! Here he is stopping by the ATM to get some cash for the grocery store. And the shopping trip begins...

Oh my! It is the cutest thing watching Nick sing and dance to the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse song "Hot Dog". I need to get him on video while he's doing it.
