1st trip to the zoo

Nov. 4, 2007

Loaded up and ready to go! We had to put a short sleeved shirt on when we got to the zoo since it was so warm out. We couldn't have asked for better animal watching weather! It wasn't crowded either.

Nick really liked seeing all the different monkeys. Luckily they were on their best behavior.

I had fun feeding the birds! Nick kept pointing to the ground and seemed concerned that the birds food kept falling off the stick. Nick wasn't too sure about the carousel at first but once he figured out what was going on he had a great time.

Happy Halloween!

Nick and I went to see Daddy at work on Halloween. Nick looked so cute in his costume! He got a lot of practice saying trick or treat (tick-a-ticka). Its amazing how fast he picked up on that. I guess seeing candy put in your pail is a great motivator.

Nick carried his pail the entire time we were at Corning and when we walked around to see our neighbors. He really liked looking at everyone's decorations. Nick helped Daddy hand out candy to all the trick'r' treaters too. He seemed to like all the different characters except a couple; one was a skeleton and the other was Jar Jar Binks from Star Wars.

Gotta love football season!

Oh boy! When Nick woke up from his nap on Saturday afternoon I took him into the living room where Tom was watching the Michigan game. Nick started smiling immediately. I think he was happy to see Daddy ofcourse and football on tv. It was so cute. You've gotta have proper snacks while watching college football.... Yum, goldfish crackers hit the spot!

Lil' Carpet Cleaner

Nick is always wanting to help me around the house. I was cleaning a spot on the carpet and he wanted to do the same thing. I let him hold the spray bottle and bristle brush. I went to the kitchen to get a quick snack for him. When I came back a minute later, he had grabbed the Capture container off the table and sprinkled the stuff on the carpet just like Mommy does. Can't turn your back for a second , can you?

"How can you say no to a face like this?" That is a great question!

Sept. 30 - Oct. 2, 2007

We flew to Las Vegas with a bunch of our friends to celebrate Scott's 40th birthday. We also were able to spend time with Grandma Jan while we were there. This was Nick's first time on a plane. He enjoyed watching everyone at the airport and was so tired he fell asleep during take-off. He slept for half of the flight going to Vegas and slept the entire way back to TX.

We went to Pahrump to see Grandma's house and say hello to Uncle Fred, Aunt Brandie, Aunt Amy and cousins Trey, Tasia, Zack & Ryan. It was so good to see everyone!
We found a kids play area at the airport. Nick & Morgan had a lot of fun running around. Here they are taking a break.
And back to running around...

Time to rest again...

And they're off!

Nick was a great traveler! We were so relieved.

September 5, 2007

Nick's cousin, Kyra, arrived on her due date and is beautiful. We were on the road to KS hoping to be at the hospital when she was born but Kyra couldn't wait any longer. We were almost half way there when we got the call saying Baby Baldwin is here! I have to say that my sister is AMAZING! She started having contractions around 6pm Tuesday night and delivered at 4pm on Wednesday without an epidural!! I don't think she had intended to do that but her labor went really fast once she got to the hospital. We had a great visit and can't wait to see everyone again.

Nick is such a sweetheart! He was very gentle with Kyra. He's going to be a great cousin! I don't think he minded that I was holding a baby as long as he could help.

Just like Daddy....

Already on 2 wheels! We thought Nick would like this little motorcycle since he's always saying "Vroom, Vroom" and twisting his wrist when he see's Daddy's. He pushes along pretty good with his feet. Lucky for me, this motorcycle is not motorized. Shew.
